Position Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. CNAs play a vital role in assisting residents with daily living activities while ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.

Responsibilities:

Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
Take and record vital signs and report changes in residents' conditions to the nursing staff.
Assist with transfers, ambulation, positioning, and range-of-motion exercises.
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility policies.
Provide compassionate, respectful, and individualized care.
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests.
Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, physicians, and other interdisciplinary team members.
Uphold resident rights and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:

Current New York State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
Current CPR certification preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
