Food Service Director - Long Term Care Facility

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and hands on Food Service Director to join our team at a skilled nursing and long-term care facility. The Food Service Director is responsible for overseeing all dietary operations, ensuring residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations of the dietary department.
  • Supervise dietary staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure meals are prepared and served according to physician orders, therapeutic diets, and resident preferences.
  • Maintain compliance with Department of Health regulations, sanitation standards, and infection control policies.
  • Manage food ordering, inventory, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident nutritional needs.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained and operating properly.
  • Promote a positive dining experience for residents and families.

Qualifications:
  • Previous food service management experience required, preferably in a long-term care or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets and dietary regulations.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage staff and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • ServSafe certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of state and federal LTC dietary requirements preferred.
